K-12 Market Advisors was founded in 2011 to provide education marketing and business strategy consulting to K-12 organizations. Our clients are start-up and established companies in educational publishing, educational technology, and administrative systems for schools, districts, teachers, and students. They are seeking K-12 education knowledge, marketing expertise, and business acumen to help grow their K-12 reach.

About Us

Marci Goldberg is the President and Founder with 20 years of experience in business, technology, and K-12 education. She has played key leadership and advisory roles with dozens of educational organizations in both the for profit and nonprofit space. Marci was VP of Marketing at Tom Snyder Productions, setting company strategy, spearheading marketing efforts, and managing budgets. She was a key member of the management team during the company sale to Scholastic. For seven years, Marci worked with Educational Systemics, driving marketing, product, and business development projects in the publishing, curriculum, and administrative systems side of K-12 education. Additionally, Marci served as a Management Consultant to Chicago Public Schools, helping with the district-wide implementation of a new Student Information System.

Marci’s strategic perspective is grounded in data. She analyzes and writes about education industry trends based on primary market research with administrators and teachers. She co-authored the MDR State of the K-12 Market Report, a comprehensive analysis of the K-12 marketplace, from 2010-2017.

Marci has an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Northwestern University with a BA in Mathematics and a BS in Secondary Education.

In her free time, Marci actively participates in her community. She current serves on the Board of Advisors of Northwestern University’s School of Education and Social Policy and is the Marketing Co-Chair of the Facing History and Ourselves Chicago Advisory Board. She has also held board positions with the Deerfield Education Foundation, Deerfield Friends of the Arts, and has volunteered with IMPACT 100 and the local homeless shelter. She has helped with strategic planning for the elementary and high school districts in her area.
